DONATIONS FOR THE MILIVOJEVIĆ FAMILY OF SEVEN Thanks to the humanitarian and donor action of the City Municipality of Palilula-Nis "Let's help our children' activities and campaigns of" Blic newspaper titled," A Heart for Children ", the necessary conditions for life were provided to Dragisa Milivojevic family of seven, who live in very difficult conditions in the settlement of Ledena Stena. President of Municipality of Palilula, Boban Džunić with his associates, donors, and Blic correspondent in Nis Branko Janackovic, visited this house and presented valuable gifts. Just a week ago, Dragisa (44) skilled worker by trade, turner, locksmith, welder, carpenter ... but without a steady job and his wife Marijola were "making the ends meet," raising their children, Miodrag (11), Miljan (9), Milidara (7) Milunka (6) and Momcilo (4), in a residential area without electricity and basic hygienic living conditions. "It is amazing that people living in these conditions - says Boban Džunić. We, in the municipality PALILULA, were following information, which is published in the newspaper "Blic" about the difficult living conditions of the family, and we reacted quickly. In agreement with the Centre for Social Work "St. Sava" we will provide the reconstruction of the family house consisting of three small, shabby little room of 40 square meters. Today, we are brought delighted children gifts, we bought them books for school, brought an electric stove, refrigerator. At our invitation, company "Light" L.T.D. Nis demonstrated social responsibility, and donated the family Milivojevic solid fuel stove, and playground "Smiley" has provided a birthday party for this five children. Given that this is one of the most difficult social cases, we expect to have an understanding of Electric Power Company Nis and find a way that they gain electric energy, stressed the president of Municipality. Today we learned that one of the children (Miodrag) is sick and located in the Clinical Center of the department of surgery. We will go to him and help his parents. After all, the campaign "Let's help our children," that we launched to help kids and families of sick children who face financial difficulties in their medical treatment. On this occasion, I call on all people of good will to show humanity at work. Grant funds in the campaign "Let's help our children" can be paid for signing a donor contract or direct deposit into the dedicated account: 840-2879741-16 in Niš municipality of Palilula. According to Marijola Milivojevic, in spite of the the difficult conditions, children are good students in elementary school "Bubanjski heroji". While learning with the help of the candle, Milidar is fine at school, while Miodrag and Miljan are very good. Like every mother, I always try to make them courageous and motivated to not give up. Thank God that there are Palilula, Center for social work, Blic and Branko Janackovic, who all helped us to met people that will help us with our lives, that we finally saw the light. Help of Municipality of Palilula is very important to us. It's hard to describe in words. Only I know how much this attention means, as a mother who watch kids and can no longer provide for them. My thanks to the many people who responded to the campaign and responded to our aid. Someone brought food, some clothes. Anything that could help us was nice and inspiring. What scares me most is not having a job-said Dragisa Milivojevic. I am sorry for the family that I can give more, but I do not have a job. It scares me, but I am glad that my children are not hungry. Last year we had no wood. I honestly had no job and I was able to supply some fuel and then me and my wife got by with children in various ways. I'm going to wait at labor Market for business. The whole Nis knows me there. I never refused a job, I'm working on buildings, chop wood, it is important to earn some money but it's all a bit. It's different when you have a steady job. Previously I worked in the MIN. I was a turner and a locksmith, I was fitter. I've been all fields, working in power plants. I have never embarrassed myself, never did anyone any harm. Milivoje is also a voluntary blood donor. He knows very well what it means to be human and help people in trouble. While the guests and parents discussed the possibilities of resolving the main issues, the children were delighted. "I study at our neighbour Zlata, since we have no electricity and I have all the good grades at school, says Milidar. There I am watching the TV, and I used to go to the gas station for watching the movie. Four-year old Momcilo is mostly happy with chocolate. Milunka is having her wish fullfilled to have a doll and Miljana is delighted with Barbie doll set, with pillow and blanket. Some of long hair, some with short, I got a variety of dresses for the Barbie-said Miljana. I look forward to go to the playroom. I was there once. I'm glad I'm going with my brothers and sister to celebrate our birthdays. I'm going to call all my buddies to "Smiley", and we are going to have nice time. We found Milivojevic family in a terrible state. My coverage in “Blic” newspaper is released within our actions "Heart for Children", where we publish stories about vulnerable families who need help. People are living without electricity for two years under extremely difficult conditions-said reporter of this media Branislav Janaćković. One donor, Sasa Stamenkovic, offered to employ Dragisa on his construction site. We had our first food packages and now even large donation from municipality of Palilula. I'm sure this will help a lot to welcome the coming winter, and to make Milivojevic family much more carefree. According to Boban Džunić humanitarian action of municipality of Palilula "Let's help our children" is not only of local importance, there is no time limit and it will last as long as it needs. It aims to encourage us to greater humanity and solidarity. Available fund depends of the donors. We formed a commission to determine eligibility and criteria for awarding financial assistance to families in need, prescribed criteria, requirements and to prioritize them-the family which will be granted financial assistance. I have repeatedly pointed out that many problems can be solved systematically-laws, decrees, but in this case, our intention was to encourage the humanity, solidarity, social responsibility of all those who can help. We sent letters to all the city's institutions, public enterprises and civic institutions and we are expecting that they would understand the message. This is the exam of our conscience and solidarity. Tekst i foto (EKOpolis mreža, D.Vidojković) |
